STATE AND PROFESSIONAL LICENSURE DISCLOSURE

Associate of Science in Nursing

 The Associate of Science in Nursing program is approved by the Florida Commission for Independent Education and the Florida Board of Nursing. It is a program designed to meet the curricular and competency requirements established by the Florida Board of Nursing and is delivered in a [distance education] hybrid modality. To become eligible to obtain a license as a Registered Nurse in the state of Florida, graduates of the program are required to pass the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN). This is a standardized exam taken by students nationally. After Licensure is obtained, transfer of state licensure may be available via state reciprocity compacts (https://www.nursecompact.com/). Prospective students and current students are encouraged to contact the state licensing board in the state where they plan to work to determine the requirements before enrolling in the program.
